I’m back with the third installment from the Zodiac Collection. We are in the time of Aries, a firey member of the zodiac that is also associated with goats and the color red. I went with a flame motif and used Maniology’s ManixMe zodiac stamping plates to guide this look since I love horns and stripe-y horns are my jam. Once again these are painted on false nails since I started the series that way and see no reason to stop.

This mani was pretty straightforward so I haven’t created a mini-tutorial for it. I think the only thing that I did that was of particular note is that I created a gradient stamp of the flames for my thumb so there was a lighter red in the middle of the nail. This meant I had less contrast in the background which would help make sure that my Aries symbol and the word.
I struggled a little with photographing this one. I think because the brick rose base polish matched my skin tone enough that the camera tried to create some contrast by making it darker. Photographing the mani with a matte top coat seemed to help, but it was really bad when I photographed with a glossy top coat on a light background. This is after I adjusted the contrast a little and it’s still a bit dark…
#LizmosZodiacCollab – Aries
For the most part the final collage shows a lot of red, magenta, and orange, but a few of us snuck in a bit more purple. All in all a very fiery collage of fantastic Aries nail art. I’m a little late posting so just about everyone should already be on the group tag. Next month is Taurus, of course.
And I just have one photo left because I forgot to take a photo with my base polish. Oh, well. Not as urgent since “Miss Scarlet” is not available for sale anymore.
Until next time, friends! And happy birthday to all the Aries out there!
