Sometimes when you get back into a hobby after a long absence you just…mess up on things a bunch because you forgot some of the “checks” you normally do. Today’s false nail set were stamped upside down from my usual. Honestly, I orientate my nail art the way I do to make the photos “nicer” for the viewer. Otherwise, it doesn’t really matter and, when I was just painting for myself, I actually had my nail art facing me instead of the tips of my nails being the “bottom” of my designs. So while I really only needed to fix one nail to have it orientated as all my other work, I decided to leave it alone. It’s not wrong, just different.

“Mistake” #2: I stamped a full nail hibiscus pattern on my pinkie and index fingernails, but I went lighter instead of dark and you can barely see it.
Mistake #3: I tried just blobbing on two colors to the larger hibiscus to create a two-tone stamp, but it didn’t work very well so I freehand painted just a tiny bit more of pink on the second large hibiscus to make it prettier. It worked quite well. At least something with this mani did!
Although the yellow polish is quite gorgeous. So I’m quite happy it’s part of my polish hoard. And I loved making the pineapple “naughty” with my flower placement…
Come to think of it, I messed up a lot on a previous hibiscus nail art too.
Am I cursed? 🤣
