It amuses me that I have a very blue (with a little purple) nail art to share right after a lot of Democratic voting victories here in America. I didn’t plan it that way though. This cute little hedgehog mani was painted clear back in 2021 and I just never got around to sharing it. Finally one of the hedgehog prompts on Instagram “took” so I’m posting this sweet little prickle mouse at long last. (Yes, I know hedgehogs are not rodents. Snakes are also not noodles.)

I didn’t have a bottle shot for this mani, but I did have an old nail art that I decided was too plain to ever post that only uses the blue texture polish so…why not. Let’s share it. As you can see I did stamp right on the texture polish and it does obscure the image a little, but still works pretty well.
Swapping seasons
The thing that I like about this blog and which is part of the reason why I am still doing it, is that it’s easier to refer back to old work. In 2018, @nails.by.clairestelle had two prompts that had people painting a summer-themed nail art with spring colors and vice versa. I thought the idea was fun and wanted to do a similar set with summer/winter. Being me I’d already had a common theme between the first two: texture polish on either side and then whatever happened in the middle had to include a watercolor-esque element.
I finished painting summer in winter colors in 2021. I just…failed to post it until today. It’s been a long time coming so here’s a look at the other three:
Final hedgehog nail art photos
No false nails photo since these were painted on my natural nails back in the day…
Until next time, friends! 🙋♀️
