I have been trying to finish this nail art for two years. I painted the base in December of 2021 and stamped the images. Then I painted a clear polish over them to turn them into decals and got distracted. Christmas was over. I’d only managed to fill in half of the candy canes. They sat inside my stampers for nearly two years until the end of September. While a little brittle, I was able to brush a fresh coat of clear polish on them to soften them up and fill them the rest of the way in. Application was no problem.
So you really can keep those decals from drying too much by leaving them on a stamper with the lid on.

I do love me the shades of the olives. “Diarrhea of the Mouth” is a super gorgeous and dark holographic. As soon as I swatched it, I knew I wanted to use it for a Christmas nail art and it pairs perfectly with a bold candy cane image. The card is actually blank on the stamping plate so I used a cursive lettering plate to say “hi”. Because that’s my message to whoever sees it.
Hi!
I took this swatch photo two years and actually went outside for this.
