I decided to combine #WhenColoursCollide’s prompt of Holographic and Black Water Marble with #nailaddictscollab’s Claws for a Cause where you could paint your nails with whatever cause was close to your heart. So naturally I picked animals because people are both amazingly good and brave and barely worth the air they are breathing right now. Animal Abuse Awareness is such a broad topic. It covers everything from cutting off the fins of live sharks for soup and dumping them back in the ocean to die, the appalling conditions we raise our food animals in, animal fighting rings, and just abusing your pet at home. We really could be doing better by…everyone. :/
On that bright note…
- Base Polish:
Color Club’s “Eternal Beauty”
- Stamping Polishes:
Mundo de Unas’ “Black” and “Fuschia”
- Advanced Stamping Polish:
Sinful Colors’ Demi-Matte “Whiteboard”
- Stamping Plate:
Bundle Monster BM-321 (ribbons), OS-03 (cat/dog/heart), Winstonia W410 and W411 (watermarbles),
Items being used for the first time are listed in italics. It’s always a good feeling to use lots of new things in a manicure. Although ideally I use everything I’ve bought many times. 🙂
And let’s not forget the group collage of causes. Check out the group at #nailaddictscollab on Instagram where each individual photo will be posted during the next thirty days.
Here is the base “water marble” that I turned in for #WhenColoursCollide and following that the group collage. I kinda wanted to do an actual water marble, but those stamping plates aren’t using themselves and I have other projects outside of nail art that I want to get done. So I took the shortcut (and felt quite relieved when it turned out that a lot of the others did the same. Guilt alleviated!).
