Keeping Cool at the Pool

I really thought I’d post more last month. I had all this nail art I wanted to do. And instead I’m posting one of the last two things I painted super late. Well, it’s summer and we’re not only getting the kids all to ourselves but we had a bunch of visitors right before them. So good times are happening, but stress is higher and I found myself reading more books and watching more anime with my husband instead. We might not have a pool like this nail art, but the view of the lake is lovely and the extra cool breezes have made laying about feel extra magical.

As usual my cat managed to find a way to include one of her hairs in the photos. I’m really getting too lazy to remove them anymore. Anyway, this was a fun nail art. I’ve really been enjoying @zenstamping‘s super maximalist nail art style lately so I threw down two layers of wave pattern stamping on every nail and then my stamping decals of pool floaties, swimmers, and giant palm leaves on top.

It’s not quite as maximalist, but I really love the gold flakies in my base polish poking through and this is the level of beautiful chaos I am comfortable with. 😁
