Today’s look needed to be simple because my energy levels were low at the time. I kinda wish I’d taken a little longer and done some kind of double stamp because the base polish is super busy even after I slapped a matte top coat on it, but…it’s fine. The double stamp feels more necessary because I am posting photos of my work online, so not being able to see the main subject easily feels like I messed up. But that’s not true. I really love those manis where you can see what the subject is only part of the time. It’s like a little gift to yourself as you go about your day. Like…hello, little snowflakes. Howdy, Mr. Wolf. Thank you for being part of my day.

The base polish is so pretty. I think I cemented my love for not neon orange and dusty purple this year. I’ve bought a lot of clothes in those two shades and since I’d already been getting olive greens I feel like I’m DC-bounding as some kind of low key Joker person sometimes. We are not associated, though. Harley Quinn and Ivy forever!
Okay. I’m supposed to be talking about the snowflakes for the algorithms. Fun truth: I also remembered too late that I had silver snowflake nail charms that I could have used as well. You can see where I used them last year here. Amusingly, that post links to yet another nail art design with silver snowflakes. What can I say? It’s a good combo. 😂
