I bought Moyou London’s Gothic Collection 01 stamping plate because I loved the little carousel critters so much. It felt very fitting to use them in a design for @clairestelle8challenge’s Creepy Carnival prompt. I love carousels, especially the creepy looking ones. And they can be found at carnivals sometimes! Match made of justifiable convenience! LOL

I really like how this turned out, but I was very disappointed in Born Pretty thermal 041. The transition is just too subtle in my opinion; it made me wonder if it still worked. Plus the formula is a bit thick. You have to paint really fast and accurately to avoid getting lumps. Luckily the gradient on top of mine helped conceal my sad application technique. Heh. I need to stop painting my nails when my blood sugar is low. My hands get too shaky.
There’s also a lot more coloring outside the lines than I think I did while I was filling in my decals. I’ve suspected for a while that my impatience has me applying them before they are fully dried and since the problem is mostly with the off-white, which I applied more thickly to ensure opacity, it looks like I’m guilty as charged. Patience so hard! *shakes fist*
That’s all for today! I’d best get painting my nails or I won’t have tomorrow’s nail art ready in time. 😱
