I’m mostly following @glamnailschallenge this month, but #clairestelle8sept had an autumn in spring colors and a spring in autumn colors prompt that intrigued me. I couldn’t resist.
Owls do show up year-round, but I think of them most in the fall so I decided to use a beautiful across-nail image from ZJoy 022 and dig out some texture polish too. Texture seems like a very fall thing as well, don’t you think? So I made sure to use my palest texture polish since pastels are a very spring thing. Keepin’ it light!
Nail art products used
- Base Polishes:
- Sinful Colors’ Kylie Jenner “Acid Wash” and white gel polish
- Stamping Polish:
- Mundo de Unas’ “Black”
- Images filled in with sharpie ink drawn directly onto the nail or painted with diluted rubbing alcohol
- Stamping Plates:
- UR Sugar UR-M05 (floral curve), ZJoy 022 (owl)
I wish I had time to do multiple designs with that owl. It’s so pretty! It didn’t quite fill both nails so I added a little half-wreath of floral on the bottom. Such useful little designs. 🙂
I think the nail art speaks for itself so that’s all I have for you today. Check back in on Tuesday for the spring design in autumn colors (although there will definitely be more nail art before then)! I used the same theme of sharpie ink & texture polish so they feel like a set.
Swapping Seasons
This is part of a four-part series where I painted a design for one season in the colors of another season. Here are the other four:
Edit: Since this is a fall nail art, it also falls into #NailChallengeCollaborative’s month-long Autumn theme:
