I’ve been wanting to use my succulent stamping plates for a while but before I knew it, it was all cold out and it was so much easier to keep putting it off with fall and winter designs. I am sure I do not have these out of my system yet, but there’s only so many times I can paint my nails in a day so…someday, heart. Someday.
I love succulents. They come in so many different shapes and colors and all of them are so perfect. And perhaps partly my brain thinks that I will somehow murder them less easily due to some baseless idea that they are hardier than other plants because they are so often lumped with cacti. I already know this isn’t true since I have a friend who lost several when she tried planting them in a terrarium. Also a cacti’s hardiness depends on whether you over or under water it (significant look to…people). LOL Ah, well. As the comeback says: “Take a picture. It’ll last longer.” So I do.
Incidentally, it is never wise to accompany me to a botanical garden if I’m going to be taking pictures. You will cease to exist to me unless you are holding food. 🙂

It occurs to me that I could have taken a swatch photo of “Nerida Singer” since I do know it is still available @ color4nails.com which is where I had to buy it since I waited too long to get it from the maker’s store. I remember seeing a swatch of it for the first time and knowing immediately that I was going to be buying it. I suspect I have a weakness for orange/red shimmer since many of my favorite shimmer polishes have it. You will have to comfort yourself with this macro shot instead, my friends.
Yesss. So much shimmery goodness. Negative space stamping really is a beautiful thing, especially with a gradient. And just so you know, the KADS plate also has a negative space design with a matching outline design. I didn’t use it since it’s a “MIN” my nails are a tad too big for it. Placement would have had to have been utterly perfect and UberChic had this huge negative space design with tons of space to spare so I skipped down the path of laziness with a song in my heart. Something like this…
Except, I’ve been pretty busy all day. LOL
This design was painted on my left hand for @swatchslayer’s cindy hand challenge at the end of February. It’s really nice to have prompts like this sometimes because I can just pick anything out of the designs I’ve already planned out and still participate. Well, not aaanything. I would keep it vanilla unless I knew everyone participating would be okay with it. /cough
Collage time!
