The theme for this week’s Nail Crazies Unite is Delicate Print. My first thoughts were of feathers and lace, but I wanted to do something different. Instead I thought of the delicate swirls steam makes as it rises from your cup and the text from one of my coffee nail plates. I suspect my nail art will look less delicate than some, but I’m just happy I found time for coffee nails. All hail the coffees!
My first attempt at my index finger didn’t work as well as I wanted so I went back and tried again. Sometimes I make things too complicated and things get crowded. So second attempt I focused on making it simpler. I’m not sure I made it simple enough, but I’m much happier with the results anyway. You can see the old version of my index finger at the veeeery end of this post. 🙂

And now, as promised, the version with the index finger that I didn’t like:
Love this design! I think imagree with you and like the second version better- the added blue grounds it and ties it in with the rest of the mani. I also love the idea of the delicate steam rising from a hot drink! Very cool visual.
Thanks! I’m glad you like it and agree with me. I still love that pattern I dropped though so I’ll just have to do coffee nails again sometime. 😉
