I’ve really been hitting the whole Valentine’s Day thing much harder this year than I usually do, but sometimes it’s fun to just go all in. Except in colors. I just looked back at this month’s progress and I haven’t exactly been indulging in soft and sweet love-y pastels. Well, I see no reason to change that trend right now. I went for the brightest of blues and hottest of pinks and circled back to some purple to almost be the Valentine’s Day you see in stores.
But not really. 🤫

Ah! The Phoenix’s “Orchid” is just so extra pretty. I love polishes that look milky instead of fully opaque. And the blue is so bright it almost looks neon so that makes me happy too. Since the base was already milky I decided to fill all the “splash” stamping decals with a milky white as well. Which does run the danger of making it look like milk, but offering milk to your next love potion victim actually makes a lot of sense since they’d probably drink it. So it’s a strategic potion color!
Hocus Pocus
This isn’t the first time I’ve painted love potion nail art and this one definitely fits the idea of Valentine’s Day more.
