The great thing about not prioritizing getting all my finished Christmas nail art posted (many tasty things were made instead) is that now I’m ahead when it comes to next year. Woo! Today’s look is all sorts of Christmas, but I’ve decided to share it anyway since it’s part of a collab. It uses one of my favorite art styles (art deco) and I managed to only somewhat mess it up. The straight lines of art deco style are so relentlessly unforgiving. But that’s also why I love it so much.
The Flipside
Also, I painted these on clear falsies so we get to have a flipside party. Seriously addicting, they are. Since I was adding a holographic magnetic topper to the green polish, I didn’t do anything else to my flipside except add the stamping. Yeah, I know you don’t have to make the flipside super high contrast for it to be cool, but I like that little flash of extra yum.

Art Deco just fits so well this holiday season. I’ve used it for both Hanukkah and New Years and now I’ve crossed Christmas off the list. Perhaps I should make it a point to paint something for Kwanza and Krampusnacht next. π It fits into the making a list and crossing things off it part of the season.
I didn’t have much of a plan when I started these nails beyond hey, let’s use this combination of polishes I worked out to dupe an indie that I didn’t get. And then I managed to grab the wrong green polish for it so this is much lighter than I’d initially planned. Instead of using a bronze stamping polish to add the art deco fanciness, I went with black and white double stamping. Still, it all worked out in the end. Another happy Art Deco holiday!

Blog Improvements
On a more admin level, I recently had to stretch my skills in WordPress a bit and went and applied some of that back to the blog. Mostly it’s stuff to help streamline my work, but I did also manage to fix the blog archive menu in the sidenav (or the bottom of the page if you’re on mobile). It’s back to sorting them by year, then month, then single post. Happy browsing!
