Halloween Gnomes

Gnomes have become the thing. I’d say their popularity has really grown the past two years and they’ve taken the place of the unicorn plates everyone had to make. Only for some reason gnomes fit in everywhere so you can get a regular plate with a few gnomes thrown in and plates fully dedicated to gnomes. It will be interesting to see if their popularity hits its peak next year. I don’t think it’s quite hit market saturation yet, especially outside of the nail art-ing world. But meanwhile I have plenty of un-used gnome stamping plates so I guess I’ll just roll with the trend right now. I mean…why not? They cute!

I took so many years to get around to using my base polish, I was afraid the thermal transition would have turned muddy like a Born Pretty polish I bought that had a similar color palette. I ended up destashing the latter because I didn’t like the new colors it dulled down into. Fortunately time has treated this beauty much better so I get this delightful transition. This polish would work so well as a background for some gemstone stamping.

#MXMOfTheMonth – gnomes

I have been invited to a new group for using the things you get from the ManixMe box (the last one imploded and turned into something else when Maniology issued their “let’s not talk about it” on their FB group when Roe v Wade was overturned). And unfortunately I do need an extra kick to make sure I use them in a timely manner. Amusingly, my first month participating, I skipped the box. And yet I still had several unused stamping plates with gnomes to pick from…
