I really admire the whole vintage Bettie Page-esque look. I occasionally come close to wearing it, but I am too lazy with hair and makeup (and my hair is too long). So I was really excited when #firedazedsept2017 included a Bettie Page prompt. Since I had to combine it with Animal Print for #31DC2017, I thought it convenient that there was a book about her with the very title “The Girl in the Leopard Print Bikini.” Do I have a stamp with a leopard print bikini? Yes. Yes, I do…

In retrospect, I probably should have added the leopard print french tips to all the nails. I may revisit this when the month is over to fix that. I think these are the first french tip nails I have ever done if you don’t count the design on my Beware the Fist!
mani. Huh.
More beautiful animal print nails:
Come back later today to see some beautiful Princess Mononoke nail art. 😉
I find these perfect just the way they are! Great use of all the elements! I’m not very familiar with Betty Paige, but that is so cool that your art is a nod to the book!! Sorry I haven’t been able to comment as often as I’d like, but I’m really getting a ton of enjoyment from all your manis!! You’re kicking butt with all the challenges — go you!! 😉
Awww Thanks so much, Kim! I haven’t even read the book, but I’ve watched a movie about her. It was like being back in public school only with more nudity?
I always enjoy your comments. Thanks so much for the encouragement. I’m liking having so much work done, but I will be happy to have easier deadlines so I can give more love to other nail artists.
