It’s always amusing to see what subjects I return to. I still haven’t painted penguin nails, but this is my third polar bear nail art. My first one was also for Christmas so maybe this will end up being a tradition of some sort. Either way, when I had the chance to combine mistletoe and polar bears I knew I wanted to paint something very sweet and simple, much in the style of last year’s peppermint coffee design sans having a reference.

reindeervs polar bear
It would have been smart if I’d laid down the darker blue jelly for the ocean before I started painting the icebergs. I wasn’t smart so I just kinda winged it and repainted the icebergs a bit. Hopefully you’re mostly paying attention to the polar bears anyway, right? 😉
I hadn’t initially planned to make this design matte, but I decided to try it and loved it better. Still, the glossy version really lets all that glitter shine. Both good for the heart…
Here’s “Bangin’ Blue” all by itself. It’s a lovely polish, but part of me wonders if I should be keeping it. I have other blue glittery jelly polishes and this one took four layers. However, it also took so many because I still have green stains from yesterday’s design. I guess I’ll just have to see how often it gets used…
