Don’t get me wrong, I love snakes, lizards, dragons, etc. I wasn’t trying to avoid painting them on my nails. But when the prompt “Creatures with Scales” came up on #26GreatNailArtIdeas, well I ran into the dilemma of to pun or not to pun. I chose pun. So today’s nail art features a little hammie on a scale. And then I thought of another pun I could inflict on people with the title since anime often has little animals saying “chu”. It is disgustingly cute.

I really like how the radial gradient draws the focus onto the stamping decals. And I had to work extra hard for them because the stampers did not want to pick up anything. I finally had to shut up my room and turn on the humidifier and things finally picked up on the stickiest of my stampers. Ugh! Things progressed quickly after that and I couldn’t be mad at those sweet little faces anyway, but some days this hobby is harder than others. And, y’know, shutting the door is the exact opposite of what they tell you to do when you’re using nail polish. :p
I really did like the background quite a bit so here’s a photo before I slapped my decals on.
