Alas, I can’t wear bulky sweaters unless I want them to make me look extra bulky, but they always look so cozy! I have to discipline myself to not buy them at the store because every time I do I end up just getting rid of it again. When #GlamNailsChallenge had a Sweater Print prompt I decided to go the more literal route and make my nail art about the texture of a sweater rather than the patterns that might be woven into it. Bulky sweater texture I can wear! 😀 I chose one of the coziest nail polish colors that I owned (Essie’s Cashemere Matte “Coat Couture”) and built my color scheme from there. “Coat Couture” has a subtle blue shimmer that is identical to Zoya’s “Gemma” so I thought they went quite well together.
- Base Polishes:
Essie’s Cashemere Matte “Coat Couture” and Zoya’s “Gemma” - Stamping Polishes:
Mundo de Unas’ “Violet”, Sally Hansen’s “Ever Green” - Advanced Stamping Polishes:
Zoya’s “Gemma” and “Jacqueline” - Stamping Plate:
Harunouta L027
I accidentally lucked out with this nail art. The Harunouta stamping plate only had one full-nail knit pattern, but it has a different edge on the top and bottom so I was able to flip them on my nails and make them look quite different. Now that is good design on Harunouta’s part! I’m curious to see if we’re close enough to Christmas that the challenge participants use a lot of Christmas prints for this prompt because that was the other route I was considering. 🙂
