So today is half moon day on #31DC2017 and it’s also the day that we’re supposed to be able to publicly release our nail art for #WhenColoursCollide from FB. This is a case where I didn’t have the color I wanted to stamp with and I tried finding a white that would let the colors beneath it bleed through enough so I would be in the right color scheme and…the etchings were too deep on the stamping plate. Hah! So I posted the photo on the group without the stamping and then I stamped and took more photos and…I really like the stamping plate I used, but I liked my nails better without the stamping. Ah, well. I am not the biggest fan of half moons anyway. 🙂

- Base Polishes:
Black Heart’s Galaxy Effect “Teal Galaxy”, Essie’s “Sexy Plunge”, Pure Ice “Scream” and “Watch Me Go” - Stamping Polish:
Pure Ice “Scream” and Sinful Colors’ “Snow Me White” - Stamping Plates:
XY-Q15
The stamping plate is this 5 1/2″ round acrylic stamping plate from Aliexpress. I bought two and if the second is as good as the first I will be buying more. The etchings were wonderfully deep and easy to use (though it lacks the coating that CICI & SISI uses that makes it easier to see the patterns).

Which do you prefer? With or without the half moon stamping?

Here’s the group collage for Teal and Orange:
I prefer without the half moons. Plus it draws more attention to the blue flower on the orange background, which is really pretty.
Yeah. I kinda suck at making half moons look good. Still, a fun learning experience. 🙂
