There were a number of different interpretations in the Crumpet’s Nail Tarts group on the subject of “Mixed Tape Mani”. Some of us thought it means using different tape techniques and some interpreted it as the musical kind of mix tape. Some even took on both themes! I decided to base it on songs since I don’t really have much in the way of nail tape and didn’t feel like cutting my own out. The first mix tape I can really say I received* was from my boyfriend and we were well past the time of “tapes” and into cds. It was j-pop so I’m not even sure what the title of the song I remember most was, but the word “butterfly” popped up a lot. So butterflies and cds it was!

The lighting in previous photos shows off the holographic nature of the polishes I used, but all that shimmer hides the design a bit so here’s a photo I took outside when it was really cloudy:
