This actually has the same base colors as Gone Fishing. I decided I was running out of time and since I wanted to use yellow for the year of the rooster, doing one manicure on each hand all worked out. I did a little reading and the lucky colors for roosters are yellow, brown, and gold so that set my color scheme. Fireworks and feathers also seemed like an easy enough hint of roosters and New Years. I hope all the people who celebrated this holiday as it was actually occurring had a wonderful time.
Oh, man. This ILNP polish (Chocolate Slate) is amazing. I’ve been quietly purchasing more and more holos and I knew I wanted a brown because a brown rainbow sounds magical to me. And it is. I am almost sorry I covered it with a big gold stamp. Next time I’ll pick stamping images that don’t block so much of my view. Or just not stamp anything!
(Lies.)
- Base Colors: China Glaze’s “Whip It Good”, Essie’s “Aim to Misbehave”, Covergirl’s “Goldilocks”, Sinful Colors’ “Rays of Bright”, ILNP’s “Chocolate Slate”
- Stamping Polish: Essie’s “Good as Gold” and “Partner in Crime”
- Stamping Plate: Born Pretty’s Celebration BPX-L013 (fireworks), Uber Chic’s mini Fabulous Feathers (feathers)
Oohh I really like how you layered the firework images! Also I’m glad somebody did a rooster mani so I can enjoy looking at it, since I thought about doing it but then it never happened.
Really, you have all year to do one. I know Moyou London has a series of Chinese Zodiac plates. Gotta collect them all at some point. 😉
