I’ve been wanting to do fawn patterned nails ever since I saw Lucy’s tutorial on YouTube. I had a Brown, Grey, Green prompt from When Colours Collide and a jungle prompt from #clairestelle8challenge. At first, I figured I could do a tropical bird stamping and fill it in with greys and browns and do plant stamping on the rest of my nails. But I remembered the fawn print and decided to see what kind of deer lived in the jungle. Enter the brocket deer. It is adorable. I used a photo from ZooBorns to guide the pattern of the fawn’s spots (although I think I painted too many of them). Ah! Fawns are so cute. I did, however, paint an adult deer on my middle finger. Sadly, most of the background grey got eaten up by jungle plants. Well, the challenge didn’t say it had to be even and the water is still mostly grey. :/
- Background Polishes:
Sinful Colors’ Stoned Crystal Shimmer “Thera-pewter”, OPI’s “Freedom of Peach”, Zoya’s “Spencer”, “Nyssa” and “Louise” - Everything else was acrylic paint
Behold! The second time I used my new macro lens. I think I did a better job taking my photo this time. I’m also really excited because I have three new sizes of false nails to play with so you can expect some nail art on nail shapes that I don’t have sometime soon. Longer nails than I can realistically put up with! Woo! 🙂
I’m writing this blog post before the group collage is posted, so I’ll have to add that later.
