The world has moved on from Valentine’s Day, but I have not (yet). Today’s look is very simple lace half moon, but it comes with a super cool thermal polish from purple (cold) to hot pink (warm) on my super long stiletto falsies. (If you don’t have a thermal polish, just use some makeup sponges to make a gradient. You’ll miss out on the cool color changing when you wash your hands and such, but it does mean you’ll always see both colors.) And, of course, a heart-shaped nail charm would probably make more sense for Valentine’s Day, but I actually…don’t have one.
Flipside view
So of course I added some hearts underneath. This was on a very cheap stamping plate and the pickup was surprisingly decent. Lucky me since every image is a long vertical line of simple shapes. I am addicted to flipside. This plate with be back. 😎

Holy cow is Fancy Gloss’ “Fear Street” a super responsive thermal. Like I can just tap the surface with my finger and it changes color. Combine that with the flipside and it was just amusing how much shifting happened, although I suspect during a hot summer it would be stuck in the warm state. Also, really cool to see it shifting from below. Thermal + flipside needs to happen again.
Meanwhile I really loved how the lace came out. It’s from a tiny stamping plate with only two kinds of lace and I bought it to use this one. That tiny bit of fringe along the edge is so pretty. It wasn’t a big enough pattern to cover these nails so I decided to go with a lace half moon instead and then I brought in a nail charm because I gotta have accent nails. If the pattern had been big enough, I could have made a fully lace nail as my accent (although probably I would have used it as a secondary accent).
