Two years ago I purchased a set of pink jelly gel polish from Born Pretty thinking that I loved jelly polishes and pinks are so pretty so for sure I’d use them. This is…the first time. Yeah, it’s been a rough two years for spending time on this hobby so maybe it’s a sign of the times that I have started to bring them out to play. I picked this lovely shade because it said “light red” more than pink and I already have plans for a pink Christmas mani. Besides, Santa wears red so it was very fitting to pair him with such a shade.

As a Christmas mani with a “subtle” hint of booze, I wanted to focus on the cute Santas but have a party in the background. If some people see this mani and don’t even realize it’s about getting drunk, I will find that very amusing. So I stuck to the phrase “Let’s get HoHo hammered” (the entire inspiration for this) and stamped a pattern of alcohol-associated glasses in the background. For my purposes, the pattern needed to almost completely disappear depending on how the light was hitting it so I used Maniology’s “Chamomile”. Hope I trick at least one person! 😈
