Right now I have two manicures to share. 🙂 To start, it’s fun to pun and since there are two different prompts for sunflowers this month that I plan to do, I decided to make one of them a pun. With the eclipse happening so recently, I thought it was most appropriate to make this one an actual sun flower. This is the first manicure with a resuable black gel base and I used acrylic paint for everything else. There will be at least a few more if it holds out. I have it on my non-dominant hand this time, so I think we have hope. 😉

Meanwhile, my work on false nails continues. For some context, the next book on my reading list is The Tower of Zhaal. It’s the sequel to Cthulhu Armageddon, a delightfully dark post apocalyptic elder god romp that I read last November. So I thought it would be kinda fun to do a hellscape with a really beautiful sunset in the background and a monster underneath. So I sponged on a gradient (aka ombre) and then started painting with acrylic paint. Fun! And post apocalyptic! Yet almost innocent looking at the same time.
Although I really feel like I need to work on painting better clouds.
