Behold my nail art for Nail Crazie’s Unite “Beach” theme! Yes, I know it’s not terribly original, but I wanted to use my only Anchor & Heart polish (it came in the spring bundle that Turtle Tootsie put together) for the first time and it was perfect for sand. Plus it was time to use Bundle Monster’s Beach + Ocean themed set.
I coveted it when it came out a few years ago. I’m indifferent to dolphins and surfing, but I have a great weakness for things like jellyfish, octopi, and mermaids. I was pretty poor though and just couldn’t justify the price. By the time I started to buy more expensive nail plates my nails were long enough that a lot of the images would be harder to use so I continued to buy other things. But Amazon is a bad influence and I saw it going for less than $1 a plate. My old dreams of owning the jellies resurfaced and I bought them. It felt a tiny bit like weakness at the time, but I’m glad I did.
It’s only taken me two months to use them. (Really that’s not bad considering how many stamping plates I own. I’m a little afraid to re-calculate the percentage of nail plates I own and haven’t used. It used to be 80%, but that was *mumblemumble* ago…) They worked really well with my stamper and I would like to get some more use out of them soon, but I’m terribly un-prolific compared to some nail artists. Sometimes I wonder if I’m just horridly crap and slow at painting my nails. Where do they find the time to get so much done?

Well, it’s almost 4AM. I’m sure you don’t need to hear me talk about this much more. Purple oceans. It was bound to happen again sooner or later. I do a lot of nail art featuring water and I can’t be held accountable for the fact that rainbow is my favorite color.

Also, I only have one polish left to use from the Spring Holo set (Anchor & Heart Lacquer’s “Sunshine and Pansies” (nail art not posted yet), Colores de Carol’s “Jade Vine”, Heather’s Hues’ “Hydrangea”, Turtle Tootsie’s “Carnation”) put together by Turtle Tootsie. Sadly, this box is no longer available, but I think the summer one will be available at some point.

I love how you put this together! So many fun elements, my fave is the sand castle. I’m with you — I don’t know how some folks create AND BLOG so many nail arts each week…I’m a slow snail too. 😉
Thanks! The sand castle is my favorite too. 😀 I think they just are less sentimental about it. Like, if you take it off right after photos you can probably get two or three done in a day depending on how long they take you. And they may skip the thumb because they’re not pictured. At least it was a lot faster when I skipped painting my thumb a few times.
Very cute! In,over how the sandcastle looks filled in with that sandy nail polish color!
Ugh, autocorrect… should say ‘I love’, not ‘in over’
Auto-correct betray me consistently. Lol Thank you! I actually filled in the sky with the sand castle decal and let the glitter shine through. I think that’s why the glitter looks a little darker than it does on the other nails…
The sand looks really cool, but yeah, I love the purple waves even more!
It’s important to color your nails like a kid with a coloring book sometimes. ;D
In love with sand castle!!!
Me too! They’re the best! 😀
