It has been a hectic week and I’ve spent more time on my cosplay wings than on my nail art. So I am late. Late enough that I made a placeholder post (which is probably cheating?) so I would still be included in on the inLinkz. I wanted to do a different manicure, but since the 31-Day nail art challenge has started this month, I decided to combo it with red and go with “quack” instead. (The other manicure I had planned will fit into the challenge a little later on). Little bit of stamping, reverse stamping and a freehand heart that I probably shouldn’t have freehanded. Oh, well. 🙂
The best thing about this is the jelly nail. I Frankenstein-ed it out of a Sally Hansen Triple Shine “Water Melon”. It’s a very pretty polish, but it’s such a pale pink that it takes too many layers to look dark enough (still transparent too). So I decided to darken it up into a form I could use. Thirty drops of Sinful Color’s “No Text Red” and two drops of Sephora’s “Control Freak” later and I had a nice pinky-red that was dark enough to not take five million layers, but still light enough for use in a pond manicure. Woo!
