Hermitism History: Simply Purple [7]

Readablity, scanability, blind users, low bandwidth, old browsers, blah, blah, blah. Did anyone visit my site anyway? Not really. And it wasn't like I hadn't always coded a site that degraded gracefully either. MSKing meets usability. MSKing starts designing with a stick up her ass. *sigh*

Good things happened: I at least bolded the links even if I didn't put the underline back. I shortened the menu by shoving Rants under the section about me. I got rid of the categories and just listed the poems by date. Because of this, the file names changed to a number and the poem's title. I also marked my favorite poems to help give people a place to start reading.

Bad things happened: I used frames in the links section when I didn't need them. I split up Color World into more pages just to raise my page count.

Ironically, I do think this version looks better than Celtic Purple, but only because I'm that good. [brain: Way to be modest, 'King.] Hush. You don't exist yet, remember?

If I hadn't made it, I would not have copies of this version or Celtic Purple at all. Trying to reconstruct them would have sucked. :p Besides, it wouldn't have been neeear as much fun to do this whole thing if I couldn't put you in the old layouts while I blather on and on and on...

So save your work, kiddies. You won't regret saving it, but you may regret losing it.
