"Royal" Linkage
Appeared
Here
First Attempt:
The only theme this poor site had was the word "royal" and the nekos. The backgrounds were...well, two guesses what I spent most of the class time doing. At least I never used the psychedelic ones, right?
Assigned Pages:
Seeing as the site was my internet class assignment, certain things were, uh, assigned. For example, we were supposed to link back to "home" on every page. I did it, a lot of my classmates didn't (and were marked down for it. Suckers Mwahahaaa).
- Index of the King - looked the same as Royal Chaos's home page.
- "My First Page" - the ugliest page I have ever made. We picked out a background graphic and then she randomly selected colors for links, etc. I switched to a background that went with those colors as soon as I could because I just couldn't leave it like that!.
- Royal Moi - a few paragraphs. What does one say about one's self? A question that haunts me even today...
- Royal Musical Preferences - some snooty title like that. The sad thing was that we were supposed to list music from three different genres (like pop) only I had no idea what they were even called, let alone what was considered what. I'm such a dork. :p
- Royal Writing Corner - two pages about your hobby, she said. Writing, said I. And the poetry section was born.
* I also had a "Quote of Whenever I Decide to Change It" to make fun of the daily quotes that definitely weren't daily.
- Update - an extra page we had to do something with. What better for a person who likes things dated?
- Credits - another extra page. My idea. The next semester she made credit-giving mandatory. Mwahahaaa! >:D
My Additions:
I also started my own habits: providing email and Top of Page links as well as dating every page. And since I was done with the assigned stuff. Hmmm, what to do, what to do...
- Idiot Page - clicking on a random graphic took ya to some dorky little page. It was like a humor section before I had a humor section.
- Color World - I couldn't find any color charts sorted into charts by color and then organized by naked-eye lightness, so I made my own (copying the teacher's design). I had no idea what named colors were, so it ended up getting pretty mixed up over the next few years.
The End.
With class over, I moved to geocities. My "first attempt" was then deleted off the school server by accident. Thank goodness. One less thing to haunt me for ever...

The text was placed in a table for your eyeball-ing ease. Originally, it all ran free like rabid jackelopes and there was no white background behind the text. |
