The Victorian Age

Last month I was asked to host the next #nailswithigfriends. It was my first time hosting a collab and I think it went fairly well. I picked Time Period as the theme and I loved the huge variety of interpretations that all the ladies turned in, but I think next time I’d pick something a little bit more narrow in scope. I did have a few people say they had a hard time deciding what they were going to do. For me it was easier because I love steampunk so much. I just picked the Victorian Age and left out the steampunk elements since that is not historically accurate.

It also might be a little weird of me, but I thoroughly enjoyed putting together the collage and figuring out how to break the 18 photos I had down into four separate collage graphics that people could view if they swiped right. Probably the same me that wants to do all sorts of things with my nail polish and stamping plate tagging systems that I suspect most people aren’t even using and keeps a blog record so I can post stats at the end of the month if I want. 🙂 Anyway check out all the beauty and creativity that the ladies put into their nail art:

Next month there will be a new host for #nailswithigfriends: Caroline Goodwill. Caroline has always been one of the most supportive and kind members of the When Colours Collide FB group so I’m sure she’ll be a great host. I can’t wait to see what prompt she picks for next month! 🙂
