"Firebirds Eat Magical Fruit"

I'd planned on making this a goofy picture of a firebird about to eat a too-large magic fruit, but as you can see, the apple is fairly small and the firebird isn't goofy. About the only thing that survived the idea is how wide the bird's mouth is open. *l* Anyway, I did this for a contest that my best friend was running, don't know if I've won yet. I'd started with a different picture which will hopefully be finished in the next few weeks. Really, I prefer that idea but this one is much more focused on the firebird so maybe it was for the best that I chickened out and did something "simpler". Either way, at least I'm painting again.

Also, if you look beyond the obvious tail, she's got some extra fancy tail feathers underneath that. Couldn't make it more glowy w/o ruining it so there they be.
