Red, Black, and White

So I decided to join the When Colours Collide Facebook group. The theme was red, black and white and I just wasn’t that into it right now. Kind of odd for me since it’s an old color combo favorite, but I guess I branched off into other things at some point and, now that I think of it, I donated two skirts with that color theme last year because I just wasn’t that into them either. Huh. Yeah, so sadly not into this theme (although the one I just missed–green and orange–would have gleed me all up *sigh*) but tried anyway. I decided to play with some of the more geometric/modern style stamping plates that I own.

It turned out okay. I probably should have sucked it up and re-done them since the Mundo de Unas “Red” I own did not stamp well over the black. I easily could have reversed them if I had the energy for it. Similarly, my thumb needed a thicker-lined pattern for the final layer and that layer either needed to be white or black. Well, I learned things from doing this nail art, at least, so there’s something. I’ve always been bad at this kind of nail art because it’s not my style normally so I have no practice at pulling it off well. I really admire the ladies out there that do this well because it’s just a beautiful look.
