Half moon manicures are just not something I do very often. And I will get bored of my nails before they grow out so I don’t benefit from that particular advantage either. I have seen some amazing manicures with them, but for the most part they don’t do anything for me. I think the only other time I’ve used them is when I did a rainbow owl mani with the moon part defining the tops of the owls’ heads (you’ve probably seen those around). Sadly, that pre-dates this blog so I don’t have a post I can link to.
Meanwhile, I’m afraid I wasn’t very innovative or practical for this one. Four half-moons and one hill don’t make much sense, but I got it done. And I found out that Revlon’s “Moonlit Woods” makes for a sexy gradient. I will have to try it with other colors sometime.
